!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is supposed to be viewable from The Only Country That Matters™ tonight/tomorrow. Experts are saying that the best viewing times should be around 2-3 AM Mountain, and that you should head up into the mountains to check 'em out.
I'm planning an excursion to see what I can see. I'm hoping to drag the wife along as well, because fuck this may be the only time I get my lazy ass out of the bed to go check this shit out.
It's not just 'Murrica though (though it should be because we get the best stuff): Scotland, Russia, a lot of places above 45 lat, should be able to catch this phenomenon. What about you? Are you going to trek out of your metropolitan areas to attempt a viewing?

If the weather stays clear enough tonight to see it, Ill probably stay up and head to the hills. Its sucks because every time we are supposed to be able to see it in my area the weather doesn't cooperate.

I just might. Tougher to do with kiddos though. The darkest sky in the country is 3 and a half hours away...trouble is its snowing like crazy here and its not supposed to let up all weekend so it would have to be someplace like that. Probably not going to happen unfortunately.

Just make sure you listen to Isao Tomita's Arabesque No. 1 while viewing the heavens.

You guys are so lucky. I've promised myself that if I die without having seen the northern lights, I'll kill myself.

It's foggy here, so no Aurora Borealis for me.. I've seen it before though, but I think you should go above the polar circle for maximum intensity.
